The prison-house of life and the chains of grief, in reality, are the same,

Before perishing, why should there be any release from suffering?

The most hungry and sad moment:

When you're sitting in the examination hall, feeling hungry,

And then the invigilator is served hot "tea with samosas"!

tujh ko masjid hai mujh ko mai-khana
waiza apni apni qismat hai
you a mosque and a tavern i obtained
a different fate for each was ordained

raat din gardish mein hain sat aasman
ho rahega kuchh na kuchh ghabraen kya
night and day the seven skies do perambulate
why should i as something's surely in my fate
