lauh-e-nisyan ki jasarat thahre

dil lahu kar ke ye qismat thahre

maqtal-e-jaan ki zarurat thahre
hum ki shayan-e-mohabbat thahre

kya qayamat hai wo qatil mujh mein
mere ehsas ki surat thahre

waqt ke dajla-e-tufani mein
aap hum mauja-e-ujlat thahre

dosti ye hai ki khushbu ke liye
rang zindani-e-surat thahre

tu hai khurshid na main hun shabnam
kya mulaqat ki surat thahre

uf ye guzre hue lamhon ka hujum
dar-o-diwar qayamat thahre

kucha-gardan-e-junun misl-e-saba
zulf-e-awara ki qismat thahre

ishq mein manzil aaram bhi thi
hum sar-e-kucha-e-wahshat thahre

jab se 'ummid' gaya hai koi!!
lamhe sadiyon ki alamat thahre
